More Free Feng Shui Tips that are Practical

The practices of Feng shui run a wide gamut of principles, most of which have been proven to work for centuries already. Its being adopted continuously over the years may have proven its validity as a practice where not everything is understood from another cultures point of view but is effective nonetheless. Today, Feng shui is gaining a growing popularity even in cultures that considered it at first with suspicion. And so the curiosity continues.

To gain a peek at it without having to go and consult Feng shui practitioners, here are more free Feng shui tips.

- Adopt clean living in all aspects of your personal life. While this may sound like nothing new, a little metaphysical perhaps, a tip that everyone already knows, this is in reality the main principle where Feng shui is hinged on. To achieve balance and harmony in nature thereby attracting the good energy force that flows in it.

- In order for your child to get better grades in school by studying some more,
position the study area so that the child has a solid wall behind the chair that he uses in studying. Why is that? Feng shui masters have observed that a child will be prone to sit longer in a chair that rests behind a solid wall than that which has an open space behind him where there could be more distractions.

- Staying healthier means having no television inside the bedrooms. Many of us have always enjoyed that tv in the bedroom because it's the only place to rest while enjoying the program. And there's the catch. The bedroom is intended really for resting and the tv offers so much distraction and a lot of time lost that could have been allocated for other things.

Time management see? The headboard of the bed should also be positioned with its back to a solid wall. This could be psychological but there really is an added comfort and confidence when the board rests on a solid wall.

- Your bedroom mirror should not be placed opposite your bed. I do not know about you but I have no wish of waking up in the middle of the night or the early hours of the morning and face a disheveled me. Feng shui experts though interpret this as inviting a third party to a relationship, which is even scarier.

- Do not have your bedroom door face either the bottom or the top of stairs or face sharp corners and protrusions. It is not only downright dumb. It is an invitation to getting bumped in the middle of the night on your way to the bathroom or landing with a crash and a scream. For Feng shui experts though, it goes beyond that, it disturbs the flow of the chi. This is true with sleeping under an exposed beam. For Feng shui experts, the energy flow is disturbed in a way that there happens to be a pressure on the person underneath.

- Your bedroom door should never be placed directly in front of another bedroom door.
It is irrelevant whether the door facing yours is the guest's bedroom or not. In Feng shui, this does not bring out the best of luck.

- Another thing, never position your bedroom below a comfort room.
