Feng-shui Yin and Yang
| Feng-shui Yin and Yang About Me Born and raised in Hong Kong, I've been a professional Feng-shui practitioner for over 25 years. I started to have the feeling that there was something 'not right' about my grand-father's grave when I was about 13 years of age. But of course, at that time, I wouldn't be able to tell my parents about what I had in my mind; besides, my grand-father passed away when my father was just a teenager! But the feeling was so strong that I was drawn to studying the Chinese metaphysical knowledge by myself, going to book stores looking for books on the 'I-ching' system, as well as other related areas. Soon after, I started to take class from one 'guru' to another, hoping that I could learn as much and as fast as possible in order that I could 'save' my family with my metaphysical knowledge! You'd get to know more about all this when you join my newsletter that actually Feng-shui is branched into 'yin' and 'yang', which states that 'yin' is for the dead and 'yang' is for the living. However, the truth of the matter is: 'Yin Feng-shui' has much more influence than its 'Yang' counter-part, and that traditional Chinese mentality would deem the former the most vital in its influence towards younger generations. It's considered to have the power that 'makes or breaks' the luck of all the descendents along the family linage! Thus my urgent desire to 'help save my family!' However, the more I learned from these 'gurus', the more I found that they weren't just practising what they preached! One claimed to have access to the 'secret power' to make people rich when he himself was so poor that he could barely have enough to get by! Another one said he was one of the gods sent to earth to help 'enlighten' all sentient beings when he was in fact a very negative person holding hatred feelings and grudges against those who didn't do according to what he said, bad tempered and swearing all the time! Another one said the most important thing one should have when one was blessed with good Feng-shui was harmony within one's family, which he said was his specialty - he could make his clients' family very harmonious, he said. But guess what, after following this 'guru' for a little longer, I found that his family was the most disharmonious that I'd ever seen! His son was threatening to kill his own parents if they didn't hand him the money they earned everyday; his wife was on the edge of a nervious breakdown, while this 'guru' hardly had a place that was safe enough for himself to stay without being threatened at night when he went home .... the list goes on and on. Then I thought, heck, this wasn't the kind of thing I was looking for, and that I deserved whole lot better than this madness. Anyway, the point is: when you're treading the road to true mastership, you just have to be absolutely aware of who you are with, especially when you risk the possibility of easily 'giving your power away' to those 'parasitic beings' who are there to suck you dried once you're caught off guard. I've much more to share with you about what I've gone through on my learning path. But this will be too long for our purpose here on this page. Nevertheless, after a long long time, I finally ran into the right teacher who was so low profile and soft-spoken that if you judge him by his 'package', you'd not think he was worth any 'grain of salts.' But we have a saying in Chinese that says: A person who has been sick for a long time can turn into a good doctor himself! That is to say that, in this case, all the time and effort spent on looking for the 'right' one will pay off in terms of gained knowledge and intuitive feeling, with which 'when the true teacher appears, you'd know it!' I was finally locked onto the right 'system' and in matter of a few years' time, learned all there was for me to learn about 'I-ching', which is the main metaphysical framework where Feng-shui is derived from. Yes, that's right, if one is to tell you they are a big deal 'master' in this and that and yet they don't know a dawn thing about 'I-ching' and its relationship with Feng-shui, then they're pulling your legs with theirs. Almost all of the Chinese knowledge framework stems from the book of 'I-ching', which can be considered the 'mother software' of all softwares! Another well-known derivative from 'I-ching' is TCM ( Traditional Chinese Medicine ). So is Chinese Kung-fu ( Chinese Martial Arts - the real ones, I mean ).
